THE 53 ACRES OF CRESSBROOK DALE WHICH WE NOW OWN OUTRIGHT

We are delighted to announce that, as a direct result of the local Hate Campaign against us, we have been able to re-negotiate the terms of our contract with Stanton Estate, lifting all remaining charges over the land.
This means that our Community now owns outright the 53acres of land encompassing the whole of Litton Frith Farm ~ from Trinity House to the Northern Border, the Ravensdale woods (including the Sacred Grove and Ravensdale Springs, with access rights all along the Ravensdale Lane), plus the main entrance track from the road at the hairpin bend including all surrounding forest.
The land in the village itself (which we did not have a use for) has now returned into the ownership of Stanton Estate ~ once again giving the local community the opportunity to ‘put their money where their mouth is’ and acquire it for themselves.
Huge gratitude to Adrian Thornhill of Stanton Estate for the unwavering support he has given us in the face of so much antagonism and hatred from the local people.
(We also wish to correct the defamatory accusation made by the local Hate Campaign that Stanton Estate foreclosed on their charges over the land. This was certainly not the case as, in any event, the remaining instalments due of the original purchase price were not payable until 30 September 2023 and 30 September 2024 respectively. Instead, we negotiated to transfer ownership of the 20 acres of land closest to Cressbrook village back to Stanton Estate, in consideration for the lifting of all remaining charges and liabilities, and allow them to act as ‘broker’ for its onward sale.)
